Meet Dash: Our CHDC Mascot
We are proud to have Dash, the friendly community health center owl, represent CHDC! He is here to help educate our patients and community members about the amazing services we offer.
If you haven't already, you'll be seeing Dash on our social media, brochures, newsletters, and in our waiting rooms. You might even get to see Dash in-person at some of our events!
Why Create a Mascot?
You might be wondering how we decided on a blue owl named Dash to be our CHDC mascot. If you take a look at our website address, ch-dc.org, we have a "dash" in our name! We thought the name Dash would be a great fit for our health center mascot. Dash is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about things CHDC.
When it came time to design the appearance of our digital mascot, our staff voted on 10 different possibilities. The version of Dash that you see today was the staff favorite! He has a white coat, stethoscope, and can often be seen promoting our services by wearing glasses, holding a toothbrush, or logging on to our CHDC Patient Portal.
Our vision for Dash is that he will personify everything that CHDC stands for. He will provide helpful information, education, and work to make healthcare less intimidating for all ages.
