National Health Center Week 2021

Come Celebrate With Us!

National Health Center Week (August 8 – 14) is an annual celebration with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades. We’re honoring our public servants, patients, employees and consumer board members in special ways throughout the week. You're invited to join us in recognizing and celebrating Community Health & Dental Care and all the work that goes in to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to the tricounty area. We hope to see you there!

All week, we’ll have virtual and in person events, health screenings, information on our programs and services, raffles, fun activities for kids, refreshments and a whole lot more! We have events for stakeholders, staff, patients, and community members, so check out our schedule and come hang out with us!

    Public Health in Housing Day: Social Determinants of Health Screening (PRAPARE) educational materials will be distributed to staff and patients at all locations. Follow us on social media to learn more about Social Determinants of Health here at CHDC.

    2:30PM - 4:30PM @ Coventry Mall Office
    Open to: Everyone
     
    Agricultural Worker Health Day: Stop by the Fresh2You Mobile Market in the parking lot of our Coventry Mall Office, we will have a table set up with CHDC information. Get your fresh produce and a CHDC tote bag!
    Healthcare for the Homeless: Culmination of our Street Medicine Donation Drive. All donated items will be collected and given to our Street Medicine Team to distribute to unhoused individuals in our area.

  • Wednesday, August 11

    1:00PM - 4:00PM @ Coventry Mall Office
    Open to: Everyone
     
    Patient Appreciation Day: In need of a fun afternoon activity? Stop by our office at the Coventry Mall and participate in a free scavenger hunt throughout the Mall! Complete the scavenger hunt and win a prize. Watch our Patient Appreciation Video from our staff on Youtube!

    Open to: Invited Guests
     
    Stakeholder Appreciation Day: Local legislators and first responders are invited to visit CHDC and participate in a tour of our facility. If you are interested in participating in a tour, please contact Jenn O'Donnell at jodonnell@ch-dc.org

    Open to: Staff & Patients
     
    Staff Appreciation Day: Healthcare Heroes coloring graphics will be available to all week at all offices for children to decorate and hang up at our mall location. Click here to download a copy of the coloring graphic. Staff appreciation gift will be handed out during the All Staff Meeting on Wednesday, August 11.

  • Saturday, August 14

    10:00AM - 2:00PM @ Coventry Mall Office
    Open to: Community
     
    Children's Health Day: Throughout the week, all patients to our CHDC locations will receive a free raffle ticket to be entered in 1 of 3 children's health themed raffle baskets. Winners will be drawn on Saturday! 

It takes a community to run a health center! We appreciate our staff, patients, volunteer board members, and community partners each and every day. Happy National Health Center Week!
