Treating Addiction

The PA Department of Human Services designated Community Health & Dental Care as a Center of Excellence (COE) for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

What does that mean for people struggling with opioid use disorder?

It means that they can come to our COE, tell us their problems, and we'll develop a treatment program tailored to their individual needs.

What does a Center of Excellence (COE) do?

We use both internal and external resources and referrals to provide the best addiction treatment services. Each person gets their own Care Manager, who coordinates the many aspects of a recovery program.

Internally, we refer to medication-assisted treatment, medical services, and referrals to behavioral health counseling. Externally, we partner with organizations such as 12-Step Meetings, Sober Living opportunities, and more to provide care outside of our office.

Opioid Use Disorder

In Pennsylvania, 12 people die every day from opioid overdoses.

Families in areas like Pottstown, Boyertown, and all throughout TriCounty are losing spouses, children, brothers, sisters, parents, nieces, nephews, and friends. The staff on CHDC’s COE team understands how to help people struggling with addiction. More importantly, they know that there are treatment options available that will work.

We are here for you because recovery is possible.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

At CHDC, we are able to provide substance abuse support with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).

We have developed a strong program that includes a board-certified addiction specialist, and a licensed professional medical team who specialize in treatment for opioid use disorder and alcoholism. These experts work together to provide an individualized treatment plan.

Flexible Payment Options

We accept most major insurances, including all PA Medicaid HMO's, DHS Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial plans. If you have no insurance, but still wish to visit a Provider, we can help! CHDC offers a health care discount program that is based on your family size and household income. Patients in our service area throughout Berks, Chester, and Montgomery counties who are eligible can receive discounts of up to 25%, 40%, 55%, 70% or 100% for services received at CHDC.
