Boyertown Leo Club Book Drive Provides CHDC with over 1,000 additional books for Reach Out and Read Program.
Community Health and Dental Care, Pottstown, has been promoting literacy through the “Reach out and Read” program. With this program, new and used books are given to the health center’s pediatric patients at each check-up. Given the fact that CHDC cares for over 3,600 pediatric patients, books are always in demand. Thanks to the generosity of the Boyertown School District, community and the Junior High East Leo Club, the January book drive organized for Community Health and Dental Care provided an additional 1,000 books for this program. The Leo Club, which is sponsored by Lions International and is supported by the Boyertown Lions, is a service club for students who wish to develop their leadership abilities through community projects. Community Health and Dental Care is grateful for this generous donation and recognizes the students and advisors of the Boyertown Junior High East Leo Club for their exemplary service within our community.
It is the mission of Community Health and Dental Care to identify gaps in health services and to ensure access to appropriate levels of care for all people in the service area regardless of their ability to pay.
